Medical examinations for the purpose of obtaining health certificates are mandatory for certain professionals pursuant to the Act on the Protection of the Population against Communicable Diseases and the Ordinance on the Conducting Medical Examinations of Persons under Health Surveillance.
Depending on occupation, the medical examination includes epidemiological survey, lung examination (physical examination of the lung, X-ray according to medical indication), skin and visible mucosa, and bacteriology and parasitology stool testing.
