COVID-19 – Disease caused by Novel coronavirus: directions for travelers entering Croatia

A new coronavirus strain, which has not been discovered in humans earlier, has presented and was discovered in China at the end of 2019. The disease caused by this virus is called  COVID-19  (an abbreviation from COronaVIrus Disease-19) and the virus causing this illness has been named SARS-CoV-2  (abbreviation of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus 2).

At least one of the following symptoms points to the disease: elevated body temperature, cough, shortness of breath. Additionally, you can experience exhaustion, diarrhea, fatigue , sore throat, muscle pain.

Directions for travelers entering Croatia

Truthfully and completely inform the border police officer on the country or countires you have visited in the past 14 days. If deemed necessary:

  • The border police officer will refer you to the health inspector,
  • The health inspector will issue an ordinance on health monitoring by the designated epidemiologist.

Strictly follow all the instructions received.

Alert if you have at least one of the following symptoms:

  • fever
  • cough
  • shortness of breath.
